I started in programming, systems, and networks — working with NASA software at the COSMIC technology transfer program, then managing infrastructure at the University of Georgia. That technical foundation shapes how I think about marketing: as a system to be designed, measured, and improved, not a set of campaigns to run.
Over 25 years, I’ve led marketing and revenue teams across growth-stage and enterprise B2B software companies — ConnectWise, Axcient, Convercent, insightsoftware, Spirent, and others. The through-line is connecting positioning to pipeline in companies where marketing was a black box.
Today I use AI across every stage of delivery — competitive intelligence, brand strategy, website builds, content, and ongoing management. Not as a buzzword, but as a way to deliver senior-level work at a pace and price point that makes sense for growth-stage companies.
I wrote Outcome Marketing to codify what I’d learned about building predictable growth systems. The book became the foundation for the Outcome Marketing practitioner network — which means when an engagement needs specialized expertise I don’t have, I can bring in experienced operators who share a common methodology and language.
